Snoring Remedies
There are many snoring remedies to chose from, some are age old remedies which are becoming popular again as they use natural products or natural remedies to 'cure' snoring.
Homeopaths can discuss your snoring problem and may prescribe anti-snoring pills which contain natural plant enzymes and herbs which break down body secretions, including mucus, which help to relieve congestion in the nasal cavity, the herbs are believed to prevent nose and throat tissue swelling which results in smoother airflow to alleviate snoring. Homeopaths can also provide similar remedies in the form of nose drops or nasal sprays.
The use of nasal strips is a popular remedy for stopping snoring, they are drug free and work by keeping your nostrils open which makes breathing easier. The nasal strips are made from one or more bands of elastic which is embedded within an adhesive pad, which looks similar to a small plaster. When placed properly on the bridge of the nose the bands attempt to straighten themselves and in doing so naturally opens the nose. There also nasal support devices which are placed inside the nose and work in a similar way to nasal strips but from the inside of each nostril.
Aromatherapists also have snoring remedies. They use blends of essential oils which will relax your respiratory system during the night. Marjoram oil is the most used essential oil for snoring and can be brought in a jar which holds a sponge saturated with the oil. To use the oil simply leave the jar open by your bedside, gradually the room will fill with the scent. Other way to use essential oils is to rub a few drops underneath your nose or massage it into your neck before you go to sleep.
Mouth breathing correction is another type of snoring remedy. There are numerous products available which stop you breathing with your mouth open and therefore reduce or prevent snoring. The Chin-up Strip keeps your mouth closed at night through the use of a U shaped adhesive strip which is curled around the lower lip.
Another snoring remedy is The SnorEnder looks similar to a chin strap, but adds pressure and magnetic therapy to help reduce snoring.
